I'm taking steps towards a brighter future
Behind the smiles, there are a complexity of emotions tied to stories that may never be told.
I'm walking 9km on World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10) to raise funds for Lifeline, who provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
I am no stranger to the burden of intrusive thoughts that lead so many of us to an early conclusion.
Services such as Lifeline provide an opportunity to change the dialogue and create hope for a brighter future.
Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.
For World Suicide Prevention Day, I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.
Please support my walk and sponsor me to help those in crisis.
Together, we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
My impact so far
I've raised $1,006 so far to answer 25 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.
With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.
