Out of the Shadows 2024

That's a wrap!

Well that's a wrap! Thank you to all who donated Ray Artoftravel ElizaMae Lloyd Zac Demos Rohan Kandan-Smith Margo Dent.& All supporters whether seen or unseen, whether in donation or in heart, you are appreciated.

We are very grateful for your support in raising money for Lifeline. Your involvement and consideration in this cause must be recognised ✅🤍.

You'll be happy to know:
We ended up enjoying the walk a bit too much and pushed from 9kms ...
To a total of 12.6 kms for 2hrs 42m (not including rests).

It was truly a wonderful adventure, a great little journey and a rewarding event.

A sepcial thanks to Eliza for the idea and help in planning!
However, it wouldn't have been at all possible without the 100% fully fledged involvement from Eliza, Zac, Chloe Baggs and Bianca Frasca-Villagran . Thank you everyone for being there and for being such genuine friends and people 🤍.
Honourable mentions to Tim Kandan Smith, Bryce Jakobasch and Chelsea Karanga who unfortunately but understandably couldn't make it due to work and illness.
Liam Duncan and Matt Denley were there in spirit also, but unfortunately could not make it in the end. Thank you for the interest, and for trying!

Walkies!

Originally a team based in the hills area, Sydney, we will be walking on Saturday 14th September as a group of 5-10 on in the city. Along the harbour and around the beaches to keep spirits lifted for the 2.5+ hours. Please feel free to join us if you know any of us from the area😁🙏

We're walking to honour those lost to suicide, and their friends and family. Based on personal experience within ourselves and with our loved ones, we aim to help people in crisis so that no one has to go through that.

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones.

For World Suicide Prevention Day (Sept 10), we will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day.

We are walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support Aussies in need.

Please support our walk and make a donation to help those in crisis.

Together we can ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

Our impact so far

We've raised $410 so far to answer 10 calls for Lifeline's crisis support hotline to connect and bring hope to people in crisis.

With your support, we can ensure that no person has to face their darkest moments alone.

Mental health matters, knowing it’s ok to not be ok, and having that band of brothers that are on speed dial 24/7. Courage in difficulties. Ps don’t forget the lunges and push-ups at the end of every km 🫡🤣
