I'm walking to remember loved ones, those that who are currently in crisis and those who have lost their battle to suicide.

Tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide. 

Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis each year.

Suicide has devastating impact on friends and loved ones. This is a cause very close to my heart as I have lost immediate family and close friends to Suicide. I have worked very closely with the Australian Defence force assisting with raising funds to support returned veterans with PYSD and mental health issues.

For World Suicide Prevention Day Tuesday September 10th 2024, I will be taking part in Out of the Shadows and walking for the 9 people lost to suicide every day. I will be completing a 45km walk and if my fundraising target is reached prior or even when I am walking, I will complete an additional 9km on the day.

I'm walking to raise funds for Lifeline to provide suicide prevention services and support for Australians in need.
